MemeDrill Privacy Policy
Effective August 15, 2026
MemeDrill is operated by MetalTorque. This policy describes the current native Android application.
Data kept on your device
MemeDrill stores the following records in the app's private storage on your Android device:
- virtual portfolio and cash balance;
- simulated trade history, an on-device overflow archive of older trades, and lifetime statistics;
- user-authored decision plans (including any optional invalidation price level), exit reasons you tap after a close, and Discipline Pack guardrail settings;
- a snapshot of public market statistics captured at the moment of each simulated buy, kept for your own later review;
- standing simulated exit orders (stop-loss and take-profit levels);
- price alerts;
- watchlist and chart display preferences;
- saved practice tapes of cached market candles;
- cached market prices and cached public token profiles; and
- acceptance of the current trust notice.
MemeDrill has no account system, advertising SDK, or analytics SDK. Android backup is disabled for MemeDrill's app records.
Network requests
After you accept the current trust notice, MemeDrill downloads the same public multi-chain market-catalog snapshot for every user from a MetalTorque-operated VPS. The VPS receives ordinary connection metadata such as your IP address, request time, and MemeDrill user-agent. The snapshot request carries no account identifier, advertising identifier, search term, portfolio, position, trade, decision plan, or watchlist.
MemeDrill still sends token searches and recent pair-quote requests directly from your device to DEX Screener. It sends charts, fallback discovery, token profile lookups, and other GeckoTerminal requests directly to GeckoTerminal/CoinGecko.
Like ordinary internet services, those providers receive network metadata such as your IP address, request time, and MemeDrill user-agent. They may process that information under their own policies:
MemeDrill does not send your virtual balance, positions, trade history, decision plans, orders, alerts, watchlist, purchase state, or trust-notice acceptance to MetalTorque's snapshot service or to the market-data providers. Do not enter personal information into token search.
Background price-alert checks
If you arm a price alert, MemeDrill re-checks it about every 15 minutes even while the app is closed; Android may delay or batch these checks. Each check sends only the chain id and the pair addresses of the alerted pools to DEX Screener — the same host and request shape as the foreground refresh — with no user identifier of any kind. Background checks never contact GeckoTerminal, run only while at least one alert is enabled and armed, stop entirely when the last alert is switched off, and never run unless the current trust notice has been accepted.
Alert notifications are composed entirely on this device and name the token, the measured price, and the observation time. MemeDrill uses no push service, and no third party is involved in producing a notification. The notification permission is requested only when you arm your first alert, and declining it changes nothing except the notification itself: the check still runs and the crossing still shows inside the app.
The scheduling library MemeDrill uses for these checks adds three Android-level entries to the app's permission list (WAKE_LOCK, RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED, FOREGROUND_SERVICE). MemeDrill starts no foreground service and registers no boot receiver of its own — the boot entry only lets Android restore the alert check after a device restart.
Google Play purchases
After you accept the current trust notice, MemeDrill connects directly to Google Play Billing to load product and purchase state, including when the app resumes or you buy or restore the Discipline Pack. Google Play processes the payment and may receive device, Google account, network, and transaction information under Google’s Privacy Policy.
MemeDrill receives product details and purchase state, temporarily handles a Play purchase token to acknowledge the non-consumable product, and caches a boolean ownership result in private app storage so an already-verified purchase can remain usable during an outage. MemeDrill does not receive your full payment-card details. No purchase token or billing record is sent to MetalTorque's market snapshot service.
Data sharing and sale
MetalTorque's VPS transiently processes the connection metadata needed to return the public snapshot. MetalTorque does not receive the private app records listed above and does not sell or rent personal data. MemeDrill displays no behavioral advertising. Direct requests to Google Play and the market-data providers are described above.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you reset them, choose Erase All Local Data in Settings, clear MemeDrill's storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app.
Reset Portfolio removes the virtual portfolio, trade history and its overflow archive, standing orders, statistics, and cached prices but intentionally keeps the watchlist and Discipline Pack settings. Erase All Local Data removes those records plus decision plans, exit reasons, guardrail settings, price alerts (cancelling the background check and clearing any posted notifications), the watchlist, saved practice tapes, cached token profiles, trust-notice acceptance, and the locally cached Play ownership result.
You can also save all local records as a single archive file to a location you choose, and import that file on another device. MemeDrill never uploads the archive anywhere; where it goes is entirely your choice, so treat the file with the same care as the records it contains.
Erasing local data does not cancel, refund, or erase a Google Play purchase. MemeDrill may restore the ownership result from the Google Play account after the erase.
The snapshot endpoint accepts no user content and creates no account or user profile. Hosting and network infrastructure may temporarily process security and connection logs needed to operate and protect the VPS.
Security
Snapshot and provider requests use HTTPS, cleartext network traffic is disabled, responses are size-bounded and validated, and app records use Android private storage. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed perfectly secure.
Children
MemeDrill is intended only for people age 18 or older and is not directed to children.
Changes
If this policy materially changes, the app will require acceptance of a new notice version before use. The effective date above identifies the current version.
